Seymour High School’s Business Department focuses on developing the skills, knowledge, competences, understanding, and attitudes necessary for students to succeed in today’s postsecondary education as well as current employment opportunities. Students will explore both their personal business and financial endeavors as well as the importance in becoming responsible and contributing citizens of local, national, and global economies. Academic career pathways are varied and include personal finance, accounting, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and career exploration. Collaboration with local universities allows for students to potentially earn college credit prior to graduation and guest speakers provide an opportunity for students to begin growing their individual networks.
