The English program at Seymour High School prepares its students to use Standard English to write purposefully, express creatively, read critically, and to speak and listen effectively to explore and respond to classical and contemporary works from many cultures and literary periods. Students will develop 21st Century skills to interpret and evaluate language while making connections amongst their reading, their writing, and their lives.
