World Languages

The mission of the World Language Department at Seymour High School is to prepare students to become lifelong learners in a multicultural society.

Students will build a linguistic foundation to effectively communicate through reading, writing, speaking and listening in the target language.

Students will reinforce and expand their knowledge of other areas of study through the world languages, by engaging in conversation, expressing feelings, and exchanging opinions. They will be able to use the target language both within and beyond the school setting for personal enjoyment, enrichment and active participation.
